What're the holidays without a casserole dish of kugel waiting nearby? This sweet and savory dish is a staple in a lot of homes this time of year, so we had to share our go-t- recipe!
Butter, for greasing the pan
16 oz. of wide egg noodles
5 large eggs
1/2 cup of butter, melted
16 oz. of sour cream
8 oz. of cottage cheese
3/4 cup of sugar
1/2 tsp. of cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9" x 13” baking dish.
In a large pot of boiling water, cook pasta until al dente, about 5 minutes, and drain them.
In a large bowl and mix together eggs, butter, sour cream, cottage cheese, sugar, and cinnamon then stir in noodles.
Pour into the prepared dish and bake until set, approximately 1 hour. If the top of the dish starts to get too dark before fully set, cover with some aluminum foil.
Serve warm & enjoy!
